Books is a personal library for books and audiobooks.
Building your library
- Import EPUB and PDF books. Double-clicking an .epub file also opens it in Books.
- Listen to audiobooks with the built-in player.
- Browse the BookStore when you're signed in.
Reading
- Read EPUBs in the built-in reader, highlight passages and keep your place.
- Set reading goals and track your progress.
Your highlights are searchable with ⌘K, and the global assistant can answer questions from them — "what did I highlight about habits?".
BookStore privacy
In the BookStore you choose what's shared:
- Personalize recommendations using my activity
- Sync my reading progress across devices
- Contribute anonymously to trending books
- Delete reading history
