TinyCloud is a real folder on your computer that syncs with your TinyOffice account. Put a file in it on one computer and it appears on your others. It's optional — TinyOffice works fully without it.
Turn it on
- Sign in to TinyOffice.
- TinyCloud starts syncing the TinyCloud folder in your home folder
(
~/TinyCloud). - Sign in on another computer to get the same files there.
Sync is two-way: changes you make on this computer upload, and changes from your other devices download. TinyOffice watches the folder, so a saved edit is picked up without you doing anything.
Controls
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Sync now | Check for changes right away |
| Pause / Resume | Stop and restart syncing, for example on a metered connection |
| Open folder | Show the TinyCloud folder in Finder or Explorer |
You'll also see how much of your storage you're using.
File status
Each file in TinyCloud shows where it is:
- On this device only — not uploaded yet.
- Waiting to sync — queued for upload or download.
- Synced with TinyCloud — up to date everywhere.
What doesn't sync
System and temporary files are skipped: .DS_Store, Thumbs.db, Office lock files (~$…, .~lock…) and .tmp files.
