Tour of the Home screen

Everything in TinyOffice lives in one window. The Home screen is where you start new files, find recent ones and talk to the AI assistant.

The sidebar#

Installed extensions such as Tasks and Media appear below, next to Extensions (the store). Use Customize sidebar… (or Settings → General) to choose which items appear.

Creating and opening files#

• The quick start cards — AI Docs, AI Sheets, AI Slides, AI Markdown and AI PDF — create a new file and open it with the assistant ready.
• Open Local File (or ⌘O / Ctrl+O) opens any supported file.
• Drag files from Finder or Explorer onto the window to open them.

Filter the file list with All / Docs / Sheets / Slides / PDF / Markdown. Right-click a file to Star, Rename, Duplicate, Move to folder, Copy path, Reveal in folder or Delete (deleted files go to your system Trash).

Tabs#

Each open file gets a tab. Right-click a tab for Close, Close Others and Close All. ⇧⌘H / Shift+Ctrl+H takes you back to Home.

Search everything#

Press ⌘K / Ctrl+K to open Search TinyOffice. One box searches your files, folders, notes, books and tasks. Narrow it with the Files, Folders, Notes, Books or Tasks filters, move with ↑ ↓ and press Enter to open.

Quick Chat and quick notes#

• Quick Chat opens a small assistant window from anywhere on your computer. The default shortcut is ⌥Space on macOS. Change or turn it on under Settings → Utilities → Quick Chat.
• Quick note (⌘⇧Space / Ctrl+Shift+Space) captures a note without switching apps. Change it under Settings → General.

Settings#

Settings opens as a tab; press Esc to close it.

TinyOffice is available in 20 languages, including English, Español, Français, Deutsch, Português, Tiếng Việt, 日本語, 한국어 and 简体中文.
