A file won't open
TinyOffice opens .docx, .xlsx, .xlsm, .xls, .csv, .pptx, .pdf and .md files. Older or other formats — .doc, .ppt, .odt, .ods, .odp, .rtf, .xlsb, .pages, .key, .numbers — show a message instead. Save the file as .docx, .xlsx or .pptx in the app that made it, then open that copy.
I lost unsaved changes
Reopen the file. Docs and Sheets show Recovered version found if a recovery copy exists — choose Restore. To avoid this, turn on AutoSave.
A global shortcut doesn't work
If TinyOffice says it could not register a shortcut, another app already uses it. Pick a different combination in Settings → General (quick note) or Settings → Utilities (Quick Chat).
I can't sign in
- If you see Cannot reach TinyOffice, check your internet connection, VPN or proxy.
- If the browser didn't open, use Copy sign-in link and paste it into your browser yourself.
The AI assistant isn't answering
- TinyOffice AI needs you to be signed in and to have credits left — check Settings → Usage & Billing.
- AI features need an internet connection, even though editing works offline.
Web clips don't reach Notes
TinyOffice must be running, and Settings → Utilities → Chrome Extension → Enable notes bridge must be on.
