Sheets (Excel workbooks)

Formulas, PivotTables, charts and CSV — on native .xlsx files.

1 min read

TinyOffice Sheets works with Excel workbooks — .xlsx and macro-enabled .xlsm — and opens .xls and .csv files too.

What you can do

  • Formulas with formula tracing, so you can see what feeds a cell.
  • Conditional formatting.
  • PivotTable and PivotChart, with slicers for quick filtering.
  • Charts: Column, Bar, Line, Pie, Doughnut and Radar.
  • Protect a sheet or the whole workbook.
  • From Text/CSV to import delimited data (up to 50,000 cells at a time).

Opening older formats

You openWhat happens
.xlsx / .xlsmEdited in place. Macros in .xlsm files are kept when you save.
.xlsOpened as a converted copy. The first save asks where to save a new .xlsx.
.csvSaved back to the .csv. Because CSV can't store formulas or formatting, TinyOffice asks Keep saving in CSV format? and offers Save as .xlsx.

Exporting

  • Export PDF… prints the workbook to PDF.
  • Export CSV… exports the active sheet as CSV.
