Review and approve changes

How proposals, diffs and auto-approve work so nothing changes behind your back.

1 min read

Every time the assistant wants to do something with your files, it asks first.

Approval prompts

When the assistant needs to read or act on something, you'll see a prompt with Allow once or Deny.

When it wants to change a file, you get a review card:

  1. Proposed change describes what it wants to do.
  2. View changes shows Before and After.
  3. Choose Apply to accept or Skip to leave the file as it is.

Auto-approve

If you trust the assistant with a kind of action, turn on Auto-approve for it:

OptionWhat it allows without asking
ReadReading files and content
CreateCreating new files and items
Project contentEditing files in this folder

Even with Project content on, moving files and sending them to the Trash still ask every time.

The same rules apply in the Home assistant and in Quick Chat.
